I engineered shoes for a decade and I am over my feet hurting
Before starting Heel Lab, I spent years as a product engineer at the two major sports brands building performance footwear around how feet actually move. Then I'd go out for the night in my own heels, and by the second drink I'd be standing on the outside edges of my feet.
High heel pain is an engineering problem
Instead of hiding cushioning under an insole and hoping for the best, we are starting with the heel itself. How it distributes your weight, how it holds up over a full day and a longer night. It's the same discipline that goes into a running shoe, applied to a category that's mostly skipped it.

I'm not designing for someone who takes her heels off the second she leaves the office. I'm designing for the version of the day that goes meeting, dinner, one more drink, and somehow still looks like it was easy.
